
John’s breathing permeated the quiet night, each breath soft and regular, a steady presence much needed after a day so full of uncertainty and violence. But the day didn’t matter. Nothing mattered except that John was there - warm, solid, holding him close. He had John. And as long as that held true, Sherlock had to believe the rest would be alright.
